Weekend News - week 3

Curtis - On Sunday Curtis was on tv during the Auckland v Canterbury cricket final.  One of the Canterbury batsman hit a six near where he was sitting.

Zoe - On Saturday a family friend died while cycling on the Port Hills.  He hit his head on a rock and died in hospital.

Alexi - Yesterday Alexi found out he is getting a Nintendo DS for his birthday.  You can take 3D pictures with it.

Suma - On Friday at 7pm Suma got to open her birthday presents.  She got a school bag, iPod, photos, lots of dresses and a watch.  On Sunday she went to church and got lots more presents there too.  Suma got to cut the cake in church.

Libby - In the weekend Manchester United played Manchester City.  Wayne Rooney did a backwards bicycle kick to score a goal.  They said that his kick would make history.  Man U won 2-1.

The best things about our holidays were:

- Alexi - got a wii for xmas

- Jesse - staying in bed and sleeping in

- Roisin - that it snowed in Switzerland

- Kirsten - went to America to Movie World and saw a 4D movie of Shrek

- Cassidy - went to Dunedin

- Libby - went camping at Punakaiki
