Crusaders visit
On Tuesday the Rugby Ready boys and the school rugby team (along with a very excited Ms Archbold) were treated to visits from All Blacks and Crusaders Tom Donnelly and Zac Guildford! They had a quick question and answer session then off to the field for a game of touch.

Rachael King author of Red Rocks visits
Today Rachael King - who lives not far from Triny, came to talk about her children's novel "Red Rocks" which has been shortlisted for the NZ Post Children's Book Awards.

Move that truck!
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 move that truck!" Screamed the whole school as the Year 0-3 teachers heaved Heather's truck forward across the netball courts. The whole school cheered them on. Mr Williams beeped the horn to signal when to stop pulling. They struggled to get a quick time and managed a great 10.8 seconds!
Next up was the Yr 4-6 teachers! Mrs Ford, Ms Archbold, Mr Yardley, Miss Falkner, Ms Wilson and Mrs Bateman looked strong but nervous. As the countdown began from 20, the six of them strived for excellence and ended up with a time of 9.2 seconds! The crowd went wild! They thought they'd won...
But then...
Mr McKenzie announced that the school council had to test it out! Triny, Safiya and Jamie stepped up from our class. It was so much fun! We pulled, puffed and tugged on that rope until the truck passed the line on the court. YES! We beat the teachers time!
"Quick it's 11.20!" Mrs Ford told us from across the room. We were in the middle of typing this blog entry. It was finally our class's turn to test out our strength so we scrambled to put our shoes on and raced outside. We lined up in four groups with our buddies from Room 8. It was so much fun. We posted a time of 8.6 seconds! It turns out we came 3rd equal with Room 24 and Room 18.

Eggs, eggs, eggs
This week Room 26 has gone crazy with their egg parenting. It's been great to see all the fantastically creative homes for their eggs. So far (touch wood) we have had no breakages - a few minor cracks have appeared only to be fixed with bandaids and cellotape!
